Warehousing & Logistics

Distribution centers fail in characteristic ways: forklifts mask APs, mezzanines kill 5 GHz, scanners roam slower than the operators carrying them, and the network always gets blamed last.

The problem we see

  • Pick-paths cross signal boundaries every few seconds, generating handoffs that consumer Wi-Fi handles poorly.
  • Inventory shape and density change weekly. Coverage that was fine in October is broken in November.
  • AGV / AMR deployments add roaming clients that demand sub-100ms handoffs the existing network can't provide.

How we approach it

  • We model the warehouse as it actually operates — pick volume, mezzanine layout, AGV pathing — not just as a footprint.
  • Where Wi-Fi can be fixed with better antenna selection and channel planning, we fix it. Where the answer is private cellular, we say so and prove it.
  • We document the assumptions about rack height, inventory density, and seasonal variation so the design ages gracefully.

Next step

Have a coverage problem you can describe — but not yet solve?

Request a wireless assessment. An engineer (not a sales rep) will walk through what you're seeing and propose what we'd actually do.
